Less fuel, enhanced environmental acceptability
The semitrailer tractor saves up to 3 litres of diesel for every 100 kilometres travelled without any complex technical measures. This is not only beneficial in terms of vehicle costs, but also enhances the environmental balance thanks to lower CO2 emissions.
With an annual mileage of 150,000 kilometres over a four year period, this will result in a saving of up to 18,000 litres of diesel, which is equivalent to € 20,000 and 47 tons of CO2.

The savings package
The comprehensive fuel-saving equipment used by the TGX EfficientLine make the semitrailer tractor an attractive package with high savings in comparison to a freely configurable vehicle with the same scope of equipment. Even driver training is provided: Included in the savings package is a MAN ProfiDrive® voucher for two training modules in accordance with the law for professional driver qualification.

MAN TipMatic®
The MAN TipMatic® Fleet version, which operates in an automatic mode, and the MAN TipMatic® Profi version, which can be operated both automatically and manually, are optionally available. The 12-speed shift system features an optimised gear shifting strategy to significantly reduce diesel consumption. -
Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPM)
If tyre pressure is just 2 bar below the optimum setting it can increase fuel consumption by 0.2 litres per 100 km. TPM checks the correct air pressure and helps to eliminate 90% of all punctures. -
Aero package and chassis side panels
The aero package and chassis side panels improve aerodynamic drag significantly. The omission of sun visors and a correct spoiler setting also help to save fuel. -
Air Pressure Management
The unique Air Pressure Management (APM) function from MAN switches the air compressor off automatically if it is not required. -
Energy tyres
The mixture of materials and construction of the energy tyres reduce deformation, thereby reducing rolling resistance and fuel consumption. -
Daytime running lights
MAN daytime running lights only require around a quarter of the power of dipped halogen lights. -
Speed limitation to 85 km/h
Setting the speed limiter to 85 km/h instead of 89 km/h reduces rolling resistance by approximately 10%. -
120 A generator
The new generator, which features 10 A more current and a 4% higher efficiency level, contributes to fuel reduction and is impressive through its enhanced service life. -
Lightweight equipment
Compressed air tanks, tank systems, aluminium rims and the elimination of the spare wheel reduce the weight of the vehicle significantly and increase the payload by up to 500 kg. -

The voucher includes a theoretical and practical module for training professional drivers to optimise their economical, fuel-efficient driving style. (Only available in markets which offer MAN ProfiDrive®.)
